Kayla swam for the Sculpins from 2005-2009 where she competed regionally and nationally. She is a USA Artistic Swimming certified coach, level 1 judge, and lifeguard. The 2024-2025 season is Kayla’s 10th year coaching for the Sculpins.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from SUNY Cortland and a Master’s degree in Special Education and Literacy from The College of Saint Rose. In college Kayla started a recreational synchro club at the local YMCA and coached a speed swimming team for children and young adults with disabilities. She works as a teacher in Troy. In her free time Kayla is slowly chipping away at the 46 high peaks of the Adirondacks to become a 46er, and the other various hiking challenges in the Adirondacks.
